My First Trainer

Built my first game trainer in C++. It scans the target process's memory, finds the relevant addresses and lets you modify values like health or ammo at runtime.

The trainer attaches to the game via OpenProcess, scans memory for specific patterns to find player data structures, then writes new values with WriteProcessMemory. The UI shows the available cheats (Health, Mana, Armor) and you toggle them on and off. It works by continuously monitoring and overwriting the values in the game's memory.

The first screenshot shows the trainer code in Visual Studio. You can see a player struct with all the values (health, armor, mana, etc.) and the memory scan functions below it. The ReadProcessMemory and WriteProcessMemory calls read and set the values.

The second screenshot shows the result in the game - an isometric RPG with the character "DRUID". All the stats up top (Level, hit points, magic, etc.) are at 999. The trainer successfully overwrote the values and the game displays the cheated numbers.
