When I build my AzerothCore modules I keep needing client patches, MPQ archives with a few changed DBC files inside. And every time such a .MPQ showed up in a pull request the routine was: download it, unpack it, diff the DBC against the standard version by hand. Annoying.
So I built a GitHub Action that does exactly that. It opens the MPQ files a PR changes, decodes what is inside and posts a Markdown summary as a sticky comment on the PR. You see the contents of a client patch right in the review, without unpacking anything locally.
The DBCs are the interesting part. The action reads CharBaseInfo.dbc and diffs the race/class combinations against the normal WotLK matrix, so newly unlocked combos like Gnome Priest or Human Hunter get highlighted right away. CharStartOutfit.dbc gives the starting gear per combo, every item ID linked to Wowhead. Then SkillRaceClassInfo.dbc for the race-restricted weapon and armor skills, the exact table behind the classic "Undead Paladin can't use swords" bug. ChrClasses.dbc and ChrRaces.dbc come along as IDs and names on top.
